Based on the 1974 French film Emanuelle, Lance Peters receives sole credit for writing Carry On Emmannuelle]. However, his original script was too explicit for a Carry On, and - uncredited - Willie Rushton and Vince Powell were brought in to rework his original screenplay.
Harry Hernia actor Howard Nelson's voice was judged to not quite fit his character, and so Kenneth Connor dubbed the role, affecting a thick Australian accent - reportedly in a jibe at the film's Australian writer Lance Peters, who had annoyed cast and crew on set.
The girlfriend of Carry On England] star Patrick Mower, Suzanne Danielle was just 20 at the time of filming.
