A mockumentary film about a trendy musician who must choose between the traditional blues rock roots of his father and the modern grime dubstep influences of his bandmate in order to select a song worthy of performing at a music festival.

"Produced for less than the cost of a decent Fender", multi-award winning writer/director Adriel Leff's second feature 'brings the classic Spinal Tap mock-rockumentary comedy format bang up to date'.

This comedy feature has picked up the award for Best Mockumentary at the Los Angeles Comedy Festival, received its world premiere at the prestigious Friars Club Comedy Film Festival in New York City, and its UK premiere at the British Urban Film Festival in London.

Aspiring musician Johnny Windows dreams of rock'n'roll stardom were ripped apart when music mogul Hilton Constellation poached lead singer and songwriter Brent Cross from his indie rock trio, depriving the band of their frontman and creative heart. But documentary maker Reni Mint is sure that Johnny will get his act together in the seven days before the big local music festival, the Kentish Kreep, and decides to follow him and drummer Scott Free on their search for a new image, sound, and hopefully a record deal of their own with Hilton.

However with Scott's insistence on emulating the latest trends of grime, dance music and dubstep, while Johnny suspects that following in his father Jackie's classic blues rock footsteps is the way forward, can the unlikely pair find any middle ground at all?

"A timely story of sex and drugs, The Ballad Of Johnny Windows taps into the rich vein of humour ripe for mining in both the contemporary dance music scene and the traditional rock world, all set to a diverse soundtrack of funny, striking, and occasionally moving, songs composed and performed entirely by the cast of musically talented actors, as well as erstwhile music producer/DJ Adriel Leff himself."
