A Home Of Your Own trivia
A Home Of Your Own was conceived as a spoof of the previously straight-faced "prestige" achievements-of-the-year films produced for building firm Tersons and screened at its annual Grosvenor House reception for its architects.
The film was conceived as dialogue-free because the Grosvenor House venue had poor acoustics and the film would be shown after an alcohol-fuelled dinner when many would have been talking amongst themselves and not listening regardless.
The film was shot on a real Tersons building site, over the course of just five days.
A Home Of Your Own was originally released as the supporting feature to the second Peter Sellers Pink Panther film, A Shot In The Dark.
