TV Comedy Preview: 20th to 26th January 2014
These are the new British TV comedy episodes between the 20th and 26th January 2014 that we're most looking forward to...

This new sitcom starring Nick Helm looks set to become a real favourite with audiences. This week Andy is forced to babysit a sick Errol. See our guide for plenty of preview clips, including the song No Survivors. Don't miss it. Monday, 10pm, BBC Three. Guide

Good news for fans of this new sitcom from Vic & Bob - it's likely to keep getting better. Last week's debut was a pilot episode, so these subsequent editions were been written with the knowledge of what did and didn't work. There's preview clips in our guide. Tuesday, 10pm, BBC Two. Guide

The surreal sitcom set on a backward island continues. Dame Eileen Atkins guest stars this week. She plays Miss Penny, a school-mistress with a massive dome of pinned hair who teaches Extreme Etiquette for Girls. Maven and Sporall find themselves in dresses. Wednesday, 10pm, Sky Atlantic. Guide

The second series of this sitcom about a young band kicks off on Thursday. Stef, Dru and Ash may be a bit older now, but they're no wiser. This series sees them working in a local ex-Bingo Hall, and their first task is to put on a birthday party for the owner's 16 year-old granddaughter and her friends. Thursday, 10pm, E4. Guide

When the three-guests-an-episode format was put on this show a couple of years ago, we didn't think it'd last long. We were wrong, as Frank Skinner's back presenting for a third time. The guests in the opening episode are Richard Osman, Joan Bakewell and Roisin Conaty. Friday, 8:30pm, BBC One. Guide

Ruth Jones is back for a third series of her comedy drama. There's a couple of notable changes for this new 10-part run: firstly, she's now a blonde, and secondly she has a new neighbour in the form of Michael (Patrick Baladi), a handsome lawyer. Could love be in the air? Friday, 9pm, Sky1. Guide
Other new things you can see on TV this week include The Kumars, Birds Of A Feather, Benidorm, Charlie Brooker's Weekly Wipe, 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown and Live At The Electric.
