Comedy duo Totally Tom - aka Tom Palmer and Tom Stourton - are one of the acts that have been selected to appear on BBC Three's new talent showcase Live At The Electric. We thought we'd ask them a few questions...

Hi Tom and, er... Tom. How did you first meet?

We met at school on the class clown circuit. We were put in the same chemistry class and found each other absolutely hilarious. Tom then said he was in a comedy duo and he had one space left. The rest was history as well as the other subjects.

For those that haven't seen you perform before, could you describe your style in five words?

Leave you wanting more... jokes.

What about one and a half words?

Haha ha

You came to many people's attention when you put up 'High Renaissance Man' on YouTube (embedded below). Was the intention to use it as a way of spreading awareness?

Yeah we wanted to raise awareness of YouTube. If you haven't seen it it's an awesome website.

The video has picked up almost 1/2 million hits now. How did you 'seed' it?

We got Kony to put it on his website which really helped.

We loved your dark and twisted Totally Tom E4 pilot last year...

Oh thank you.

Has anyone else told you that, in the guise of those posh girls (pictured), you were worryingly attractive?

Yes we really fancied those girls too. Although we went for dinner with them after filming and they were fucking boring in real life.

Any news on whether you'll be able to make any more episodes?

The important thing is to keep the fans happy and they seem satisfied - none of them want another one.

Ah, that's not true! What was it like seeing your creations on screen?

We were thrilled with the way it all looked and we were lucky to have such high quality production.

Ha ha. Next up you're on Live At The Electric. Can you tell us anything about what you'll be doing on the show?

Oooh top secret I'm afraid. What we can tell you though is that we're on Live At The Electric and we're doing something on the show.

Cheers. Will you watch yourselves back on telly when the sketches go out?

I'll watch Tom and Tom will watch me. But we're too nervous to watch ourselves though.

You're returning to the Edinburgh Fringe for a full run at the Underbelly this August. What can people expect?

Expect the unexpected! And by that we mean a sketch show similar to last year's. We'll be on at the Wee Coo (Underbelly) at 6.40.

After being nominated for the Best Newcomer award last year, the spotlight is likely to be on you from day one this year... are you feeling any pressure?

Yeah it's going to be hard to get a good nights sleep under a spotlight. But we think you'll agree, with jokes like that, there's no need to feel nervous.

Absolutely. Cheers guys! We look forward to seeing you on telly and in Edinburgh soon.

Live At The Electric is on BBC Three on Thursday nights at 9:30pm. Guide
