"If you're poor, grow a beard". The endlessly quotable TV programme Peep Show is now a cult classic in Britain. It has all the ingredients that UK audiences love: dark, often controversial, dry and witty. Mitchell & Webb are now household names across the country appearing on panel shows such as Would I Lie To You? and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Webb is now the new face of all things credit card and insurance for comparethemarket.com. Here he is starring in an exclusive video advert. Webb brings his wit and imagination to his new persona as Maurice Wigglethorpe-Throom, CEO and unconventional founder of comparethemarket.com to attempt explaining credit card interest rates.

Piling his schedule high, Robert Webb joins David Mitchell once again soon for their new political satire. The new programme, Our Men, is set in the fictional country of Tazbekistan with Mitchell as the country's British ambassador. Webb said in an interview that the seemingly serious drama will have 'a dollop of comedy' in true Mitchell & Webb style. Webb has already pre-empted that people will compare the new endeavour to Peep Show but he says that it's not meant to be funny in the same vein as their esteemed sitcom. We await the duo's new project with bated breath.
