Video: Interview with Noel Fielding
Noel Fielding has a new DVD out. He has been speaking to BCG about various topics in a video interview, which can be seen below.
An Evening With Noel Fielding, recorded live in Melbourne, involves taking a trip through the mind of one of the country's most unique comics. Expect a magical mix of Noel's brand of stand-up comedy, live animation, music and some of his best-known TV characters (such as The Moon and Fantasy Man). There is also muscular support from the loose stylings of Mike Fielding and the physical lunacy of Tom Meeten.
An Evening With Noel Fielding is available on Digital Download on 9th November and to own on DVD from 16th November 2015. You can purchase it from Amazon
In the videos below Noel talks about the show, how he likes to keep busy, whether we might see The Mighty Boosh back together one day, and how he misses Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
Noel tries to explain his show...
An Evening With Noel Fielding is hard to describe. It's a tough ask, but we asked him to try and explain what people can expect:
What's it like to tour?
Noel talks about touring the show live. He says he's found it a less stressful experience than when they did The Mighty Boosh Live.
The Mighty Boosh don't like the 'surreal' label
In the next clip, he reveals that The Mighty Boosh team used to get annoyed when people called their comedy 'surreal'.
Keeping busy...
Noel is a very busy man as he likes to have "about 700 things on the go at once". He explains why he likes to have lots on in this video, and also talks about avoiding creative blocks.
Never Mind The Buzzcocks
Being a team captain on Never Mind The Buzzcocks was a regular job for Noel for a number of years. The show has now been cancelled, and Noel says here he misses working with Phill Jupitus.
What's next?
Here's something to get excited about: Noel says he is working on a film idea. But what about The Mighty Boosh... might we see him reunited with Julian Barratt one day? Press play to hear his answer:
