My name's Tony Barrett, I am 20 and currently a student. I have been a massive stand-up fan for years, and have had the pleasure of seeing some of comedy heroes such as Rhod Gilbert and Simon Amstell live, and recently made the jump into amateur comedy myself. 4 months on, I have now done 15-20 gigs (i've forgotten), and have enjoyed it immensely, getting such a rush out of being onstage.
I share my time between London and Durham, where I go to university, and hope to carry on getting as many gigs as possible under my belt, and hopefully carry on massively enjoying it. It's far too early to pigeonhole my 'act' or be pretentious enough to try and classify it, as it is only early days, but I'd say my overall tone thus far would be observational comedy. I have a keen interest in politics and current affairs, so I'd say my material is more of a social and political commentary, albeit a (hopefully) funny one.
I have also recently started co=writing a sitcom with an aspiring London actor, with a similar sense of humour to that of my stand-up.
Cheers, Tony
