In 2010 I decided to try my hand at writing and have had some modest success.

A short story called 'Seven To One' written by myself was produced by Big Finish and released as part of an audiobook in their Short Trips range in 2011.

A comedy play I wrote was short listed for the C4/Oran Mor Comedy Drama Award in 2012.

From 2013 I have contributed one-liners used in the Radio 4 Extra topical news show, NewsJack and also had material used in the spin off show, Newsjack Unplugged.

In 2016, two episodes of The Rhyming Detective were recorded in front of an audience of over 120 people which are now available online. There are now six episodes, all written by me, available. See www.RhymingDetective.co.uk for more details.

In 2018, I joined the writers pool for BBC Scotland's Breaking The News and contributed material to Series 9 through to 12. In 2019, Breaking The News series 12 was also recorded for television, each episode being a different edit to that used on the radio. In the first TV series I was credited for material in three episodes.
