Having decided to take time off from the daily rush and grind of the rat race and fed up with being constantly trampled underfoot on the Metropolitan line, I am currently writing my first novel down here in a very relaxed Devon, where life has taken on its own pace. At the moment though, writing this in early June - while supposedly rewriting chapter 139 - I seem to be distracted by the daily scenes of cows giving birth right outside, what I like to call, my office window... As I am sure you can imagine, for a city boy this is something akin to a scene from Alien, and certainly not something one sees everyday in London. Not on the tube anyway.
