I am an old timer who has been interested in comedy for many years. My father was a stageand at the old metrole theatre and he used to take me down there to sit backstage and watch all the shows.I even sat up in the electricians box and had the thrill of pulling the switch to black out the stage which ended the sketch. I met Freddy Frinton,Chic Murray and the logan family.
It was a time I will never forget.
