Tony Knight dies in freak accident at festival

England-born Australia-based comedian and dog trainer Tony Knight was in a festival in France when a large tree branch fell on him, killing him at the age of 54. He was due to perform at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August with his show Mad Dogs and an Englishman.

Devon police slam forthcoming ITV show Piglets as 'offensive and distasteful'

An upcoming ITV series called Piglets has been slammed by the Devon and Cornwall Police Federation. There are fears that the show could lead to an increase in abuse of police officers and trainees. The comedy series is set in a fictional police training college and follows newly recruited cops. Sarah Parish and Mark Heap head the cast as Superintendents who are faced with the task of preparing the new recruits to fight crime.
