Neil Armstrong, i Newspaper, 6th March 2024Extraordinary Series 2 review
The sparky comedy show that takes superhero shenanigans to sublime heights of silliness is back - and this time, it's as profound as it is crude. Brace yourself for a body-splitting, time-rewinding, dead-communing romp.

A painstakingly beautifully written show, delivered with deft assuredness and a true feel for the comic potential that lurks under the surface of disaster.

Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 6th March 2024Review: The Improvised Play
Improv comedy is one of the hardest skills any performer can master. When it goes wrong it can be a horrendous car crash for audience and performer alike. But on the occasions when everything clicks into place, there is little that can beat it.
Lola-Rose Maxwell and Charlie Kemp, thankfully, fall into the latter camp. With The Improvised Play, they attempt to construct a play based on nothing but audience suggestions of a decade, a location and a title.

Bruce Dessau, Beyond The Joke, 6th March 2024Drop The Dead Donkey: The Reawakening review
Much like the witches in Macbeth, Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin seem to have had the art of seeing into the future. Drop The Dead Donkey back in the early 1990s was up there as one of the better satirical situation comedies on TV along with Yes Minister, Yes, Prime Minister and The New Statesman. And all of them, whilst lampooning politics and politicians, had a wary eye on the news media in its many forms. But none actually predicted the age of fake news that we now find ourselves in as sharply as Drop The Dead Donkey.
Andrew Kay, The Latest, 6th March 2024Review: One Man, Two Guvnors
I have only ever seen this play once before, but must either have missed or forgotten just exactly how full of sparkling and delightful one-liners the script is.
Matthew Dougall, Number 9, 6th March 2024Review: The Time Machine - A Comedy
In some ways this is a play to escape in to and forget what's going on outside. On the other hand, if you think a little deeper, you will be surprised that the original story by H.G. Wells has some resonance with the state of the world today. If nothing else this play will encourage you to read or revisit the original book.
Heather Chalkley, Fairy Powered Productions, 6th March 2024Review: Drop The Dead Donkey: The Reawakening!
It is very highly recommended for a good night out. If you saw and enjoyed the series on TV all those years ago, do try to see this - and if you are unable to beg, borrow or steal a ticket for this week's run it is touring until June, when it visits ATG's Richmond Theatre for the second time (and at other venues), having more than sold out when it began its tour.

In August last year, Reuters fact-checked President Obonjo, a British stand-up comedy act that has been performing for over ten years.
