The Halls Of Ridiculous win 2023 Southport New Comedian Of The Year title with superb improv show

The Halls Of Ridiculous Chris Lumb (BBC Three: Russell Howard's Good News) and Phil Allan-Smith (BBC One: This Is My House) took home the trophy, with a really unusual double act which left the audience roaring with laughter. Runner-up on the night was Sallyann Fellowes, from Egham in Surrey. A regular on the stand-up circuit she brought "an unpredictable, unique brand of comedy weirdness". Third was Dave Wilder. Based in Brighton, by day Dave is a best-selling, award-winning author.

Kirkmoore review

This sitcom about disabled young people at a residential college is spot on with its depiction of disabled dating and friendships. Unfortunately, it forgets one thing - making people laugh.
