It all adds up to a confusing play that for all its highs and lows leave us feeling pretty level.

Jenny Bede review

It'll be a crime if she isn't given her own show / film / gigantic Broadway musical soon, this is a show which highlights how amazing a performer she is, but also that she's one of the finest writers in the UK.

What's the secret to Not Going Out's success?

The Pillowman review

For a show based so heavily on imagination, this retelling lacks the emotional impact it could have achieved.

The Pillowman review

The performances are all strong. Lily Allen has the toughest role with all sorts of tonal shifts, having to be variously vulnerable and assertive and much more. What she lacks in range she makes up for in charisma.

In praise of Lee Mack

I've always liked Lee Mack, but in the last couple of years something weird has happened. I think I've started to love Lee Mack.
