Lara Ricote is the cutest Trojan horse in stand-up. Winner of the Best Newcomer prize at Dave's Edinburgh Comedy Awards 2022, she gets away with some outrageously weird, open and (jokingly) mean stuff, thanks to having the demeanour of a goofy little teenager and being irresistibly funny and likeable.

XS Malarkey on the move again
Manchester's long-running XS Malarkey comedy club is moving to a new venue. Established 25 years ago by its resident MC Toby Hadoke, pictured, the Tuesday-night gig is moving a few hundred yards from the Bread Shed, where it has been for nine years, to the new Canvas bar.
