Ray Bradshaw is breaking boundaries with his sign-language shows

Every comedian has a story about getting a hard time from an audience member, but Ray Bradshaw must be one of the few stand-ups who's been heckled by an animal. During a particularly crowded gig, a woman's hearing dog had settled down on the stage and did a massive yawn just as he was hitting his punchline. It's a good thing humans find him hilarious.

The Amazing Maurice

The Amazing Maurice review

Like the very best of children's cinema, The Amazing Maurice treads below the whimsy of its surface to provide important life lessons of tolerance and fairness. Even death gets some exposure.

Daniel Kitson

Can Daniel Kitson redefine the relationship between comic and audience?

The elusive stand-up seems to believe in making his listeners work. But it's not out of contempt. Instead, he's trying to forge an intimate human bond.

Liz Kingsman: the reluctant comedy phenomenon

Liz Kingsman is the new queen of British comedy, a former member of hip but relatively obscure sketch group Massive Dad who rocketed to solo success overnight with her merciless Fleabag parody One Woman Show. At the start of this year, it sold out Soho Theatre for weeks on end on the back of ecstatic reviews - now it's headed for the West End.
