Emily Baker, i Newspaper, 18th September 2022Roy Chubby Brown review
If we really are in a culture war, Chubby is surely on the frontlines, and he fires off his most powerful weapons within the first few minutes. When he calls Lenny Henry the N-word, I know I am in at the deep end. But I was not expecting the rapturous applause to that word. Is this just the relief of hearing such a "taboo" word said in public, or is this a burst of "he's saying what we're all thinking" praise?
Lincolnshire Live, 18th September 2022Monty Python's The Meaning Of Life 4K Blu-ray review
Universal's new 4K disc not only corrects some of the digital issues found on previous releases to deliver a much more filmic and natural image, but it even bestows the film with a wholly unnecessary and possibly unneeded new DTS:X soundtrack. At least porting over almost all of the extras from the previous anniversary means the release also adds a raft of supplemental material, even if seen before, which makes the entire release a worthy upgrade for fans, albeit a cautious one at full price.
