New comedy from Mischief duo to debut in October

Good Luck, Studio, a new collaboration with Mischief, the company behind the Goes Wrong comedies, will premiere at the Mercury Theatre, Colchester later this year.

Written by Henry Shields and directed by Henry Lewis, the production opens on 5th October (previews from 30th September) at the Mercury Theatre before transferring to Salisbury Playhouse from 18th October to 5th November.

Producers of Cock lower premium prices after criticism

Top price tickets to the West End revival of Mike Bartlett's play Cock have been cut following complaints.

The production, starring Jonathan Bailey and Joel Harper-Jackson (who replaced Taron Egerton), had recently increased its premium tickets to £400. But after a backlash - including a lot of jokes around the play's title - on social media, producers have now lowered them to £175.

Hope Mill Theatre to present Classic! in Manchester and Edinburgh this summer

Hope Mill Theatre is set to make its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe this summer with Classic! - a 60-minute "romp" through classic novels from Wuthering Heights to Moby Dick.

Penned by Emmerdale and Coronation Street writers, Peter Kerry and Lindsay Williams, and directed by Joyce Branagh, the piece features a cast of six (and multiple costume changes): Louis Blair, Althea Burey, Amy Drake, Amy Gavin, Robin Simpson and Gareth Tempest.
