Starstruck is still the best comedy about your messy, chaotic 20s

The premise was never meant to be realistic but the question looms larger this season: how exactly does a world-famous actor make it work with a completely 'normal' person living in east London - especially when the pair are stubborn commitment-phobes?

A cathedral's plan to host stand-up comedy has been criticised, but if it keeps places of worship relevant I'm a believer.

Milton Jones review

Nothing is as it seems in this brain-warping cartoon comedy.

Jimmy Carr: His Dark Material. Jimmy Carr. Copyright: Netflix

Jimmy Carr's pathetic attempt at humour is a gift to the far right

It is a fact of life that stand-up comedy, often by its very nature, sails close to the wind in its content and style. Some of our more cerebral comedians are able to present their material in a way that can be both funny and thought-provoking whilst offering an alternative view of social and political issues. Jimmy Carr, in my view, is not one of these.
