The week in TV: Screw; After Life

Screw seesaws rather too jerkily between liberal idealism and acid cynicism. After Life remains tonally bizarre: one moment suffocatingly mawkish, the next jarringly crass.

Josh Widdicombe betrays Devon roots with LEGO cream tea

You'd be forgiven for thinking that Devonian comedian Josh Widdicombe had actually grown up in Cornwall if you watched him on Channel 4 last night. One of the first events of the night involved the comedians constructing an item of their choice out of LEGO. Perhaps owing to his newly-discovered royal connections, Josh made the very British decision to construct a cream tea. However, despite being crowned the best construction among the group, there was no mistaking that Josh's LEGO cream team clearly had jam first, followed by cream, in typical Cornish fashion.
