Harry Hill

TV review: Harry Hill's Lonely Island

The first outing for Harry Hill on the BBC was over twenty six years ago and saw the man produce a series of short black and white films under the Fruit Fancies banner, and now he's back with more black and white shorts, but Jesus the difference is astonishing. Fruit Fancies was packed with invention and strange but funny ideas whereas this is just Hill messing about as three different characters, and failing to raise a single laugh during any of them.

Film review: Locked Down

This film set in a pandemic should have felt up to date - but it's as stale as old sourdough.

I love everything about Locked Down the project. I just loathe Locked Down the movie.

Kevin Maher, The Times, 11th March 2021

As meltdowns give way to liberation, it's hard to begrudge the way the film fashions some fun out of a real slog of a situation.
