How to plan your wedding... according to Peep Show
While Peep Show is one of the funniest shows you'll ever watch, we can't say we would aim to recreate the lives of its two primary characters, Jez and Mark. However, there are always a few among us who identify with the two eternal housemates in more ways than one. Now, following these simple steps, you too can also make sure you plan a wedding as anticlimactic, miserable and awkward as theirs.
Deborah Cicurel, Metro, 13th September 2014Radio Times review
A schism in the platoon makes for a slightly uncomfortable watch in this 1972 story. Well, as uncomfortable as this bear hug of a sitcom gets. But the heightened drama - introduced by Mainwaring temporarily allowing Frazer to try to improve on his captaincy - gives If the Cap Fits some teeth.
Mainwaring initially regrets giving the grumbling Scot free rein, especially when he promotes Pike and Walker over Jones and Wilson. But the twist in the tale, however unlikely, is to die for. Wilson's monocle-wearing theatrics and the least educational lecture you'll ever hear add to the fun.
Mark Braxton, Radio Times, 13th September 2014Rowan Atkinson suffers head-on crash at Goodwood
It was a crash worthy of poor Mr. Bean himself, as Rowan Atkinson collided with a fellow racer at the Goodwood Revival on Saturday.
The comedian, 59, was driving his powder blue Ford Falcon Sprint in the Shelby Cup when a fellow competitor, two cars ahead, lost control, spinning off the track.
As the following driver swerved to avoid the impact, Atkinson had no chance to heave his lumbering Falcon around the stricken car, instead hitting it head on, causing sufficient damage to bring a premature end to his race.
Chris Knapman, The Telegraph, 13th September 2014Siblings - Balcombe's Funeral review
All in all, 'Balcombe's Funeral' was a fantastic finale to a show that was never quite fantastic over its six-week run.
Caroline Preece, TV Equals, 13th September 2014Cuckoo - Series 2 review
Neither rejecting what it had built in the first series nor building upon it, it kind of just sat there and never figured out what it could change without Andy Samberg.
Caroline Preece, TV Equals, 13th September 2014Jon Richardson interview
After years believing he wasn't capable of maintaining a relationship, he's going out with fellow comedian Lucy Beaumont and he's made a reasonable peace with the OCD he's struggled with for years.
