Jack Whitehall Gets Around, comedy review

Though playing mega venues suggests a finished article, the young comic is still a work-in-progress. This show at least suggests that he can progress in quality (clearly he has quantity licked), though it doesn't signpost how far.

Jack Whitehall, Wembley Arena - comedy review

In terms of production values this may well be the most spectacular arena stand-up show ever. It is a shame then, that the gift did not always live up to the flashy wrapping paper.

Bruce Dessau, Evening Standard, 17th March 2014

Comedy review: Ray Bradshaw, Glasgow

The second and final instalment in Ray Bradshaw's high-concept show, I Dare Ray To, plays on the affable comic's eagerness to converse with strangers and willingness to accept their ridiculous bets.

Radio Times review

Fidelma Moone is trying on veils while eating for two, and Ma is planning an unwanted hen night. Yes, Fidelma's wedding to drippy Dessie is mere days away, and young Martin seeks an escape. Perhaps he'll find it in Majella, from the travellers' community that's just moved into a neighbouring field.

With the bride-to-be falling asleep among the hens, and Father Linehan (hilarious Mark Doherty) hosting the stag do in church, raucous isn't quite the word for the festivities. But fear not, things degenerate... It's a superbly wince-worthy episode, with a defining moment for Martin that brings a tear to the eye of imaginary pal Sean.

Sharon Rooney shines in an incredibly moving episode

I could just copy and paste the phrase 'Sharon Rooney was fantastic in this episode' but it wouldn't do justice to such a brave performance.
