All four series - 27 episodes - of the 1970s sitcom I Didn't Know You Cared are being re-released this Autumn in a brand new Complete Collection box set.

One of television's greatest comedy families, The Brandons, are at the centre of this riotous late 1970s series based on a series of hit comic novels.

There's miserable pessimist Uncle Mort; his sharp-tongued sister Annie, who is forever rowing with her husband Les; their laid-back son Carter; and his not so laid-back fiancée Pat; and finally old Uncle Staveley, who carries his friend's ashes around his neck in a box and only enters the constant bickering with his cry of "I 'eard that! Pardon?".

Travails over the four series see the family pushing Carter towards marriage, and a high-flying executive job with it; Uncle Mort strong-armed into moving in with his sister and family after the death of his wife; life, work, and eventually marriage, all playing upon Carter's mind; and a lodger coming into the family home.

I Didn't Know You Cared stars Robin Bailey, Liz Smith, John Comer, Stephen Rea, Anita Carey and Bert Palmer, plus Keith Drinkel, Liz Goulding and Leslie Sarony.

This slice of great British comedy from the golden age of sitcom will be re-released in a brand new four-disc DVD box set on Monday 28th November 2016, courtesy of Second Sight.
