Nana V

Played by: Joanna Scanlan

Nana V runs a dog training class on the Wirral, with the tagline 'for all your dogging needs'.

She has lost all faith in human beings and has replaced it with the unquestionable loyalty of a dog. Against her better judgement she bounces back time and time again to care about all the people around her.

Naomi

AKA: Naomi Singh.  Played by: Vicki Pepperdine

Naomi enrols her unruly Golden Retriever pup, Charlie, into Nana V's classes.

Naomi is a dedicated youth worker in the voluntary sector and is married to Ravi. Naomi is motivated, precious and demanding both of herself and her daughter.

Tony

Tony is Nana's live-in ex-husband. She labels him her 'wasband'.

Cycling enthusiast Ravi is married to Naomi.

Jasmine

AKA: Jasmine Singh.  Played by: Selina Borji

Jasmine is the spirited daughter of Naomi and Ravi.

She is about to turn 16, and her parents have bought her an expensive pedigree Retriever to try and teach her a sense of responsibility. Charlie the dog totally disrupts their family life though and Naomi ends up in desperate need of help.

Eron

Eron is Nana V's grandson. He is romantically interested in Jasmine.
