Brothers Shorty and Randolph Mepsted both live at home with their mum in Brockley, south east London. Shorty is the shy, retiring type while Randolph is a ladies' man. Together they run a small plumbing and repair business.

Over the course of the series, our incredibly unlucky 'Lucky Feller' attempts to come up trumps in getting the girl of his dreams, Kath. Unfortunately for Shorty, she's fallen for his womanising brother...
