Pub Olympics celebrates 2012 by being exactly like the Olympics but with one minor difference; it's in a pub, and not a very big pub either.
This is a 30-minute one-off, silly panel show hosted by comedian Dave Gorman in which contestants Chris Addison, Geoff Lloyd, Seymour Mace and Roisin Conaty compete in a series of funny and innovative events based on Olympic sports.
Rounds include:
100m Something: Usain Bolt can run the 100m in 9.58 seconds, what do the panellists think they could do in 9.58 seconds? The audience decide which one they want to see and the panellist has to then do it.
Olympic Rings: The ringtones of some famous Greeks and contestants are played, and the panellists have to guess who they belong to.
Vanilla Ice Hockey: Radio is famous for playing music; the Olympics are famous for sport. In this round the worlds of music and sport are combined. The teams are each given two subjects - Music and Sport; the team members must come up with puns which incorporate an element from each subject. For example - Music: Vanilla Ice, Sport: Ice Hockey = Vanilla Ice Hockey.
Dave Gorman says: "It's 2012 and time for us to get into the Olympic Spirit. And where better than at the Pub Olympics where it's served in double measures."
